Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care in accordance with NMC guidelines and local policies.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, developing, implementing, and evaluating individualised care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, monitoring patient responses and managing adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, therapists, support staff, and other healthcare professionals within a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, fostering an environment of trust and understanding.
- Participate in ward rounds, meetings, and handover sessions, contributing to continuous improvement of patient care.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and promote a safe and clean clinical environment.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff or students as required, contributing to their professional development.
- Engage in continuous professional development and training to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration (or eligibility to apply).
- Minimum of 1 year post-registration nursing experience in an acute or community setting.
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in medication administration and wound care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a patient-first approach.
- Fluency in written and spoken English (meeting NMC requirements).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
