Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care in accordance with established clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
- Administer medications safely and accurately, adhering to prescribed dosages and routes.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatments, escalating concerns as necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Participate in ward rounds, handover sessions, and contribute to care planning meetings.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected.
- Support junior staff and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Required Skills
- Current and valid nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK, or eligibility to register.
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification nursing experience in a relevant clinical setting.
- Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in administering medications and performing clinical procedures.
