Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services, including patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for common ailments.
- Administer medications and immunisations as per medical prescriptions and established protocols.
- Conduct health screenings and preventative health programs (e.g., blood pressure, diabetes, HIV counselling and testing).
- Offer health education and counselling on various topics, including nutrition, hygiene, chronic disease management, and family planning.
- Manage and monitor patients with chronic conditions, ensuring adherence to treatment and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient medical records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, social workers, and community organisations to ensure holistic patient care.
- Participate in community health outreach activities and campaigns.
- Ensure the clinic environment adheres to strict hygiene, infection control, and safety standards.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support when necessary.

Required Skills
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a primary healthcare or community clinic setting.
- Demonstrated clinical competence in general nursing care, patient assessment, and medication administration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in primary healthcare protocols, immunisation schedules, and chronic disease management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and administrative tasks.
- Fluent in English and at least one predominant local language (e.g., Sesotho, isiZulu).
- Valid driver's license (Code B) may be advantageous for community outreach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Primary Healthcare (PHC).
- Experience in maternal and child health programs.
- Knowledge of local community health needs and resources in Sebokeng.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
