Job Description

Are you a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated nanny seeking a fulfilling role with a warm, private family? Maid in Nigeria is currently recruiting on behalf of a wonderful family in Maryland, Ikeja, seeking an exceptional live-in Nanny to provide comprehensive care for their two children, aged 4 and 7. As their Nanny, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating, safe, and loving atmosphere where the children can thrive. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, loving, and consistent care for children aged 4 and 7.
  • Organize and supervise educational and recreational activities suitable for their age and developmental stage.
  • Prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for the children, adhering to any dietary requirements.
  • Assist with homework and school projects, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Manage children's schedules, including school drop-offs/pick-ups (if required), playdates, and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain the children's rooms and play areas, ensuring they are tidy and organized.
  • Administer basic first aid when necessary and manage children's health records and appointments.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding children's progress, activities, and any concerns.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, both inside and outside the home.
  • Assist with light household duties related to the children, such as laundry and tidying common areas.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable professional nanny or childcare experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated patience, warmth, and a genuine love for children.
  • Ability to plan and execute age-appropriate activities.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • High level of responsibility and trustworthiness.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
  • Experience with multiple children and different age groups.
  • Ability to drive with a valid Nigerian driver's license.
  • Basic cooking skills for family meals.
  • Non-smoker.
