Career.supersecrets is delighted to represent a warm and loving family in Ajah, Lekki, currently seeking a dedicated and experienced live-in Nanny to provide comprehensive childcare. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive and attentive care for two children (aged 3 and 6), ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and execute age-appropriate educational activities, games, and crafts to stimulate development.
- Manage daily routines, including waking up, mealtimes, naps/quiet time, bath time, and bedtime.
- Prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for the children, accommodating any dietary needs or restrictions.
- Assist with homework and school projects, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Oversee children's hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and toilet training.
- Maintain a clean and organized children's area, including playrooms and bedrooms.
- Coordinate and supervise children's outdoor activities and playdates.
- Administer basic first aid if necessary and maintain accurate records of any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Occasionally assist with children's laundry and light household tasks related to the children.
- Ensure a safe and loving environment where children can thrive emotionally and physically.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Nanny or Child Care Provider (minimum 2 years).
- Deep understanding of child development stages and age-appropriate care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children.
- Ability to create engaging and educational activities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle unexpected situations calmly.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- High level of responsibility and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
- Previous experience with live-in roles.
- References from previous childcare positions.
- Ability to swim (for pool safety, if applicable).
- Knowledge of healthy cooking for children.
