Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of public parks, streets, sidewalks, and other municipal properties.
- Assist with waste collection, removal, and disposal, including street sweeping and clearing of illegal dumping sites.
- Participate in the maintenance and repair of municipal infrastructure such as roads, stormwater drains, and sewerage systems.
- Operate basic hand tools and power equipment as required for various tasks, adhering strictly to safety guidelines.
- Assist skilled tradespersons with more complex tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance.
- Report any damages, hazards, or maintenance issues observed in public areas to the relevant supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with all municipal bylaws, health, and safety regulations.
- Respond to community service requests and emergencies as directed by supervisors.
