Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and building fabric systems.
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.
- Diagnose faults efficiently and implement effective, lasting repair solutions.
- Carry out minor installations, upgrades, and refurbishment tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and work completed.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with site management and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage and prioritize workload effectively, working autonomously as required.
- Provide technical support and guidance to site personnel when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician or similar role.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and repair skills (18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations desirable).
- Proficiency in mechanical maintenance, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
- Competence in general building fabric maintenance and repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full UK driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Recognized trade certifications (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, HVAC).
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- IPAF / PASMA certification.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
