Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth fact-finding interviews with clients to understand their financial needs and objectives.
- Provide expert, impartial advice on a comprehensive range of mortgage products from a broad panel of lenders.
- Analyse client financial situations, including income, outgoings, and credit history, to recommend suitable solutions.
- Guide clients through the entire mortgage application process, from initial enquiry to completion.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage products, market trends, and regulatory changes.
- Ensure all advice and transactions adhere strictly to FCA regulations and company compliance standards.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, generating referrals and repeat business.
- Collaborate effectively with administrative support teams and conveyancers to ensure smooth transactions.
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and key performance indicators.
- Handle client enquiries and resolve any issues efficiently and professionally.
Required Skills
- Full CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Mortgage Advisor.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A deep understanding of the UK mortgage market and regulatory framework.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to client service.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and mortgage sourcing software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional financial services qualifications (e.g., DipFA, CeRER).
- Experience with complex mortgage cases (e.g., self-employed, buy-to-let portfolios).
- Established local network or client base within Liverpool/Merseyside.
- Experience in a whole-of-market advisory role.
