Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular mobile patrols of assigned client properties and areas during designated night shifts.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to alarms, emergency calls, and security breaches.
- Investigate suspicious activities, unauthorized persons, and potential hazards.
- Maintain a high-visibility presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.
- Complete comprehensive and accurate reports of all incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and access control systems as required.
- Enforce client policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and security protocols are followed.
- Collaborate effectively with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Perform initial assessments of damage or theft and secure incident scenes.
- Ensure proper functioning of security equipment and report any malfunctions.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a security, patrol, or relevant frontline service role.
- Valid South African driver's license with a clean driving record.
- PSIRA Grade C certification (or higher) is mandatory and current.
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound judgments under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English is essential).
- Proficiency in basic report writing and record-keeping.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods.
- Availability to work consistent night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience with GPS tracking and security software.
