Key Responsibilities
- Accurately read and record data from utility meters (electricity, water, gas) on assigned routes.
- Document meter readings using handheld devices or manual logs, ensuring data integrity.
- Inspect meters for damage, tampering, or unusual conditions and report findings promptly.
- Walk extensive routes daily, often in varying weather conditions and terrains.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers when necessary, answering basic inquiries or directing them to appropriate departments.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company guidelines at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and routes covered.
- Identify and report any hazardous conditions or obstacles on routes.
- Manage and prioritize daily workload to meet established targets.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GCE O'Level.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately read and record numbers.
- Good physical stamina and ability to walk long distances daily.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
- Familiarity with Abeokuta road networks is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a field-based role or as a Meter Reader.
- Knowledge of basic utility meter types and functions.

- Valid motorcycle rider's permit (if applicable for some routes).
