Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial client assessments to determine needs and develop appropriate treatment plans under supervision.
- Provide individual, group, or family counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic client care and coordinated services.
- Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings for case consultation and professional development.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines and legal requirements pertaining to counseling practice and client confidentiality.
- Facilitate client referrals to community resources and support networks as needed.
Required Skills
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to client care.
- Basic understanding of mental health diagnoses and treatment modalities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
