Career.supersecrets is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our network as an Entry Level Mental Health Counselor with flexible remote options. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial psychosocial assessments to evaluate client needs, strengths, and presenting concerns.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and evidence-based practices.
  • Provide individual and/or group counseling sessions using various therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, person-centered).
  • Maintain accurate and timely client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated client care.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision, consultation, and case conferences.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards, as well as all relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, coping strategies, and community resources.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Required Skills

  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field (or actively pursuing licensure)
  • Strong foundational knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and ethical guidelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Empathy, active listening, and strong interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Provisional or associate licensure (e.g., LGPC, LMSW) in Maryland or eligibility for such licensure
  • Experience with diverse client populations or specific mental health specialties (e.g., youth, trauma, substance use)
  • Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques
  • Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish, Mandarin, or ASL)
