Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, edit, and review a comprehensive range of scientific and medical documents, including but not limited to clinical study reports, protocols, investigator brochures, regulatory submission documents, abstracts, manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals, and scientific presentations.
  • Ensure all documentation strictly adheres to relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH-GCP, EMA, FDA), internal company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and industry best practices for medical writing.
  • Collaborate effectively and proactively with global study teams, therapeutic area experts, biostatisticians, and other internal and external stakeholders to gather essential information and incorporate feedback efficiently.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of assigned therapeutic areas, relevant scientific literature, and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects with varying deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, scientifically accurate, and grammatically impeccable output.
  • Actively participate in scientific and strategic team meetings, providing expert input on document content, communication strategies, and scientific messaging.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with a proven ability to convey complex scientific information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical research methodologies, and the end-to-end drug development process.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in critically interpreting, analysing, and presenting complex scientific and clinical data from various sources.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in all written work.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a highly collaborative team member in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD or Master's degree in a life science, medical, pharmaceutical, or related scientific discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience as a Medical Writer within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or Contract Research Organization (CRO) industry.
  • Prior experience with regulatory submission documents (e.g., New Drug Applications/Biologics License Applications (NDA/BLA), Marketing Authorisation Applications (MAA)).
  • Familiarity with medical writing software, publication planning tools, and content management systems.
