Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Officer to join our dynamic team at St. Luke’s Medical Center – Global City. As a Medical Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care to our patients, working across various departments to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of medical conditions. This position demands a strong foundation in clinical medicine, excellent diagnostic skills, and a patient-centered approach. You will be responsible for admitting, evaluating, and discharging patients, collaborating with specialist physicians, and ensuring adherence to our stringent medical protocols and ethical standards. This role is ideal for a physician who is eager to grow their expertise within a world-class hospital setting, contributing significantly to patient well-being and advancing their career in a supportive and challenging environment. You will be expected to maintain accurate and thorough medical records, communicate effectively with patients and their families, and participate in ongoing medical education and quality improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough medical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and formulate appropriate treatment plans for patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory analyses and imaging studies.
  • Administer medication, perform minor medical procedures, and provide emergency medical care when necessary.
  • Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date patient medical records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, prognoses, and treatment options.
  • Participate in hospital rounds, case discussions, and continuous medical education programs.
  • Ensure strict adherence to hospital policies, medical ethics, and patient safety protocols.
  • Assist in the supervision and training of junior medical staff or interns, as appropriate.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical research activities within the hospital.

Required Skills

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and active Physician's license from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) of the Philippines.
  • At least 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in a hospital setting.
  • Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy for patients.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficiency in basic medical procedures and emergency care protocols.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a reputable private hospital or healthcare institution.
  • Completion of a residency training program in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a related field.
  • Advanced certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
