Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Officer to join our dynamic team at St. Luke’s Medical Center – Global City. As a Medical Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care to our patients, working across various departments to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of medical conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and formulate appropriate treatment plans for patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory analyses and imaging studies.
- Administer medication, perform minor medical procedures, and provide emergency medical care when necessary.
- Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date patient medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, prognoses, and treatment options.
- Participate in hospital rounds, case discussions, and continuous medical education programs.
- Ensure strict adherence to hospital policies, medical ethics, and patient safety protocols.
- Assist in the supervision and training of junior medical staff or interns, as appropriate.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical research activities within the hospital.
Required Skills
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid and active Physician's license from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) of the Philippines.
- At least 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy for patients.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in basic medical procedures and emergency care protocols.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a reputable private hospital or healthcare institution.
- Completion of a residency training program in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
