Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses on biological specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) following established protocols.
- Prepare samples and reagents for testing accurately and efficiently.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and troubleshooting minor issues.
- Document test results accurately and meticulously in laboratory information systems (LIS), maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Adhere strictly to quality control procedures, laboratory safety regulations, and universal precautions.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents, notifying supervisors of low stock.
- Participate actively in proficiency testing and continuing education programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate effectively with senior technicians, pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate test results.
- Learn and adapt to new laboratory techniques, technologies, and evolving best practices.
Required Skills
