Key Responsibilities
- Receive, process, and label patient specimens accurately and efficiently.
- Perform a variety of routine clinical laboratory tests following established procedures and protocols.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot basic laboratory equipment under supervision.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents.
- Document and report test results accurately and promptly in the laboratory information system.
- Adhere strictly to quality control procedures and participate in quality assurance activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, following all safety regulations and infection control policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding specimen status, test results, and any issues.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Assist in calibration and verification of laboratory instruments as needed.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Lab Technician (MLT) program
- Strong foundational understanding of clinical laboratory principles
