Key Responsibilities
- Receive, label, and process patient specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare laboratory reagents and solutions under supervision.
- Maintain laboratory equipment through routine cleaning and basic calibration checks.
- Perform basic laboratory tests following established protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assist senior lab technologists in more complex procedures and analyses.
- Record and document test results accurately into laboratory information systems.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety regulations, infection control policies, and quality assurance standards.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including stocking supplies and identifying needs for replenishment.
- Dispose of biological and chemical waste safely and according to guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
