Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Medical and Health Services Manager to oversee the operational efficiency, strategic development, and overall performance of our medical services. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader who can effectively manage diverse teams, optimize patient care processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of our healthcare services, ensuring the highest standards of quality and patient satisfaction, while also contributing to the financial health and sustainable growth of Veselības centrs 4. You will work collaboratively with medical directors, department heads, and administrative staff to foster an environment of excellence, innovation, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop medical service lines, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational efficiency across various departments.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals, expand service offerings, and enhance market position.
  • Oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
  • Manage departmental budgets, financial planning, and cost-control initiatives while ensuring profitability and sustainability.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all national healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate medical and administrative staff, fostering a positive, productive, and engaging work environment.
  • Implement and monitor quality improvement programs and patient safety initiatives, driving best practices.
  • Analyze performance data, identify areas for improvement, and implement timely and effective corrective actions.
  • Represent the organization in professional forums, collaborate with external partners, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Drive technology adoption and innovation to enhance service delivery, patient experience, and operational effectiveness.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in healthcare management or administration.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with a track record of motivating and developing staff.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare operations, regulatory frameworks, and quality standards in Latvia.
  • Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and execution.
  • Fluency in English and Latvian (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health, or a related field.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technologies.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Demonstrated success in leading change management initiatives within a complex healthcare setting.
  • Additional language proficiency (e.g., Russian).
