Are you a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer with a passion for ensuring operational excellence and a proven track record in industrial maintenance? Hyundai Motor Company is seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Engineer with maintenance experience to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ulsan, South Korea. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in optimizing the performance, reliability, and lifespan of our complex production machinery and infrastructure. You will apply your engineering expertise to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, implement preventive maintenance strategies, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and safety across our operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex mechanical maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility infrastructure.
  • Diagnose mechanical failures and execute timely repairs to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs using techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
  • Collaborate with production, electrical, and automation teams to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory.
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance technicians as needed.
  • Manage and coordinate external contractors for specialized maintenance tasks.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance or mechanical engineering roles.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with pumps, motors, gears, bearings, and conveyor systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety standards and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience in the automotive manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in Korean language for daily communication and team integration.
  • Certification in predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., Level I or II Vibration Analysis).
