Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Pick, pack, and prepare materials for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through manual or computerized systems.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Inspect materials for damage or defects and report any discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse or storage area for cleanliness and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet daily targets.
- Perform general warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar warehouse role (minimum 1 year).
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and inventory documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in a warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Experience with an ERP or WMS system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
