Al Ahram Building Contracting LLC is seeking a diligent and physically capable Mason Helper to join our dynamic construction team in Umm Al Quwain. As a Mason Helper, you will work closely with experienced masons, assisting them in various tasks crucial to masonry work, ensuring efficiency and quality on the construction site. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled masons in all aspects of bricklaying, blocklaying, and plastering tasks.
- Prepare and mix mortar, cement, grout, and other building materials according to specified ratios.
- Transport bricks, blocks, sand, cement, and other materials to designated work areas on site.
- Clean and prepare work surfaces by removing debris, dust, and old mortar.
- Operate and maintain basic construction tools and equipment under supervision.
- Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles and move them safely around the site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support masons by holding tools, passing materials, and helping with measurements as required.
- Perform general labor duties as assigned by the site supervisor or mason.
- Ensure proper disposal of construction waste materials.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor tasks.
- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 25 kg) and work in varying weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working on a construction site or in a similar manual labor role.
- Knowledge of basic masonry tools and materials.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations in construction.
- Basic communication skills in English or Arabic.
