Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, quality, and safety.
- Design, develop, and implement new or optimized manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment.
- Conduct process capability studies and root cause analysis for production issues, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other relevant methodologies.
- Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, work instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, design engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless product transfer from design to manufacturing.
- Provide comprehensive technical support and training to production personnel on new processes, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Manage and execute process improvement projects, including planning, budgeting, and adherence to timelines.
- Evaluate and select new manufacturing technologies and equipment to enhance production capabilities and capacity.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations and international standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) in manufacturing process optimization and improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and/or process simulation tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing principles, equipment, and safety standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience in high-volume, precision manufacturing environments (e.g., automotive, semiconductor, medical devices).
- Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 concepts in manufacturing.
- Professional working proficiency in Dutch.
