Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment under supervision, adhering strictly to safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Load and unload raw materials, components, and finished products from production lines and storage areas, utilizing appropriate material handling techniques.
- Perform routine quality checks on products at various stages of production, identifying and reporting any defects, inconsistencies, or non-compliance.
- Assist in the assembly, packaging, and labeling of manufactured goods according to specific product requirements and company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout shifts, ensuring compliance with all housekeeping standards and preventing potential hazards.
- Strictly follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets efficiently.
- Report equipment malfunctions, operational issues, or any safety concerns promptly to supervisors for immediate attention and resolution.
- Participate actively in training sessions and workshops designed to enhance skills, improve knowledge of manufacturing processes, and promote career development.
- Support inventory management by accurately counting, tracking, and reporting material usage and finished product quantities as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 25kg, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and consistently.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for understanding work orders and production data.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, demonstrating a positive and cooperative attitude.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong, proactive work ethic.
- Unwavering commitment to upholding safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6-12 months) in a factory, warehouse, or similar manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and operating simple production machinery.
- Completion of secondary education (SSCE/GCE/NECO) or equivalent vocational training.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing work schedules, production demands, and new procedures.
- Basic understanding of quality control principles in a manufacturing setting.
