Job Description
Rulindo Hotel is seeking a diligent and adaptable Maintenance Assistant to join our property services team. This full-time role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facilities, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and the overall integrity of our hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks, including general repairs, preventative maintenance, and responding to service requests.
We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, practical skills in various trades, and a keen eye for detail. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in upholding the high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality that Rulindo Hotel is known for. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks on hotel equipment and systems (HVAC, lighting, water heaters, etc.) to ensure optimal functioning.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests from staff and guests.
- Assist in the upkeep of hotel grounds, including landscaping, waste management, and general cleanliness.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, supplies used, and equipment serviced.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and hotel standards.
- Support the Head of Maintenance in larger renovation projects and equipment installations.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and report needs for reordering.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruption.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests and staff.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
- General knowledge of building maintenance and safety procedures.
