Job Description

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Henderson, Kentucky. As a crucial member of Accel Industries, a division of the globally recognized Gibbs Die Casting, you will be at the forefront of precision engineering, producing essential components primarily for the demanding automotive and commercial industries. This role is not merely about operating machinery; it’s about applying expert craftsmanship and technical insight to transform raw materials into high-tolerance finished parts that power the future.

Your responsibilities will encompass the full lifecycle of machining operations. You will be tasked with independently setting up, programming (or editing existing programs), and operating advanced CNC milling machines, lathes, and grinders. Working with a variety of materials, including robust aluminum alloys, you will ensure every component adheres to the most stringent quality and dimensional specifications. A keen eye for detail and a profound understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) are paramount, as you will be performing rigorous in-process inspections using sophisticated measuring tools. Beyond routine operations, this position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, identifying, and resolving any machining irregularities or equipment malfunctions to maintain seamless production flow. You will also play a role in the preventative maintenance of our state-of-the-art equipment, contributing to its longevity and reliability.

The ideal candidate will not only possess a strong foundational knowledge of machining principles but also demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and a safe work environment. You will collaborate closely with our engineering, quality control, and production planning teams, offering valuable input to optimize processes, enhance product quality, and contribute to innovative solutions. This is an exceptional opportunity for a precision-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume production setting and is eager to grow within a company that is a leader in advanced manufacturing. If you are passionate about precision, eager to contribute your expertise to world-class products, and ready to take on challenging projects, we invite you to become a vital part of the Accel Industries family in Henderson.
