Job Description
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Henderson, Kentucky. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, lathes, and grinders to produce precision parts according to specifications.
- Interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine appropriate machining operations.
- Select, install, and adjust tooling, fixtures, and attachments for various machining tasks.
- Perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure adherence to tight tolerances.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to maintain production efficiency and quality.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate with engineers, quality control, and production staff to optimize processes and resolve technical challenges.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in operating and setting up CNC mills, lathes, and grinders.
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, including GD&T.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, optical comparators).
- Solid understanding of G-code and M-code for CNC programming and editing.
