Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Bauchi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining. You will be responsible for developing and implementing machine learning models to improve our payment processing systems, enhance fraud detection, and optimize our overall operational efficiency. This role requires a collaborative spirit, a strong problem-solving ability, and a passion for using data to drive impactful business decisions. You will work closely with a team of experienced engineers and data scientists to build and deploy cutting-edge machine learning solutions that support the growth and success of eTranzact International.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and models to solve complex business problems.
- Design, build, and deploy machine learning pipelines for data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation.
- Work with large datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and insights that can inform business strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning models into existing systems and applications.
- Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of machine learning models.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in machine learning and apply new technologies to improve our solutions.
- Document and communicate technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python or R programming languages
- Experience with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering)
- Experience with data mining techniques and data visualization tools
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a machine learning engineering role
- Experience with deploying machine learning models in production environments
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
- Knowledge of fraud detection techniques
