Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company van to deliver goods to designated locations across Kisumu and surrounding areas.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Verify the accuracy of goods being loaded and delivered against invoices or delivery manifests.
- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring proper securing techniques to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain the cleanliness and conduct basic daily checks (e.g., fuel, tires, lights) of the company vehicle, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or issues.
- Report any vehicle incidents, accidents, or delays to the supervisor immediately.
- Assist with route planning and optimization when required, ensuring efficient delivery schedules.
- Accurately complete all delivery documentation and records.
- Represent Career.supersecrets positively through professional conduct and appearance.
Required Skills
- Valid Kenyan Driving License (Class BCE or equivalent is highly preferred; Class B is a minimum requirement if combined with ability to upgrade).
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 25 kg) safely.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to road rules.
- Excellent time management and punctuality to meet delivery schedules.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Basic literacy and numeracy for handling delivery documentation and records.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Kisumu city routes and surrounding areas.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (e.g., checking oil, tire pressure).
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (even non-driving related).
- High School Certificate or equivalent educational qualification.
