Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided cargo van for local deliveries within New York, New York.
- Efficiently plan and execute daily delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Load, unload, and secure various types of cargo, ensuring goods are protected from damage.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status and any unforeseen issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing Career.supersecrets professionally.
- Handle delivery documentation, including signing for pickups and obtaining signatures for deliveries.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid New York State Driver's License (Class D or higher)
- Clean driving record (no major infractions in the last 3 years)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in a logistics or delivery role
- Excellent knowledge of New York City and surrounding borough routes and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 75 lbs regularly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using GPS navigation systems and route optimization tools
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Punctual, reliable, and strong work ethic

- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
