Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vans safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations across Florida.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs or defects immediately.
- Accurately load, unload, and secure cargo, ensuring careful handling to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere strictly to planned delivery routes and schedules, utilizing GPS and local knowledge for optimal efficiency.
- Maintain precise electronic and physical records of deliveries, pickups, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or any unforeseen challenges.
- Comply with all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions with clients and recipients at delivery points.
- Handle delivery paperwork, invoices, and electronic proof-of-delivery devices with accuracy and attention to detail.
Required Skills
- Valid Florida Class E driver's license with a consistently clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable professional driving experience (e.g., van, light truck).
