Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company van to transport goods to various locations within Raleigh and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the van is in optimal working condition.
- Load and unload parcels and packages, ensuring secure placement and proper handling to prevent damage.
- Verify accuracy of shipments against delivery manifests and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, issues, and completed deliveries.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery records.
- Assist with warehouse duties when not on the road, as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License with a clean driving record.
