Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided delivery van to transport goods and packages across designated routes in New Orleans and surrounding areas.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Efficiently load and unload goods, ensuring secure placement and proper handling to prevent damage.
- Plan and execute daily delivery routes using navigation tools, optimizing for time and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, electronic records, and proof of delivery documentation.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, providing excellent service during pickups and deliveries.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Manage delivery schedules to ensure timely arrivals and departures at various locations.
- Assist with warehouse duties or other tasks as needed, contributing to overall team success.
- Handle cash or process electronic payments for deliveries when required.
Required Skills
- Valid Driver's License (Class D or equivalent for non-CDL operation)
- Clean driving record with no major infractions for the past 3-5 years
- Ability to lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs consistently
