Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a commercial van for local and regional deliveries.
- Load, unload, and secure packages and materials, ensuring accurate counts and preventing damage.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes using GPS and company-provided navigation tools.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and manifest documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status and potential issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, handling inquiries and resolving minor issues professionally.
- Manage cash or process electronic payments for deliveries as required.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of the delivery vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid Class C driver's license (non-CDL, appropriate for a commercial van).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
