Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial van for local deliveries and pickups within New York City and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Accurately load, unload, and secure goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Follow designated routes and schedules, adapting to traffic and weather conditions as necessary to meet delivery deadlines.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and vehicle documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, interacting professionally with clients and recipients.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and transportation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, issues, or completed deliveries.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as sorting, packing, or organizing goods when not on a delivery route.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial van driver or similar role (minimum 12 months).
