Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided delivery van to transport goods to various destinations.
- Load and unload packages efficiently and carefully, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Follow planned delivery routes and schedules, adapting to changes as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs using company systems or devices.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company safety policies.
- Provide professional and courteous service during deliveries, representing Career.supersecrets positively.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
Required Skills
- Valid Florida Class E Driver's License
- Clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Report) for the past 3 years
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage routes and schedules effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external interactions
- Proficiency with GPS devices and route optimization applications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of professional driving or delivery experience
- Familiarity with the Jacksonville, Florida geographical area and traffic patterns
- Experience using handheld scanning devices or delivery management software
