Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company van for daily deliveries and pickups within the designated service area.
- Follow planned routes and schedules, adapting to unforeseen changes or traffic conditions as needed while communicating with dispatch.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify all items against delivery manifests or invoices; obtain necessary signatures and documentation upon delivery and pickup.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate driving logs, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports in compliance with company policy and regulations.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions at delivery points, representing Career.supersecrets professionally.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and fueled to ensure readiness for all assignments.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status, delays, or any issues encountered on the road.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs independently and safely.
- Proficiency with GPS devices, navigation apps, and route optimization.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet delivery deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for client and team interactions.
- Basic knowledge of local traffic laws and routes within the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.
