Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans to transport goods to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Load and unload packages and materials, ensuring accurate counts and secure handling.
- Verify delivery contents against shipping manifests and obtain necessary signatures.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and other documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or issues.
- Handle customer interactions professionally and courteously.
- Keep company vehicle clean and organized.
Required Skills
- Valid Michigan Driver's License (Class D or equivalent)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in the past 3-5 years)
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs regularly
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role
