Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Prepare and process all necessary documentation for domestic and international shipments, including customs paperwork.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., transport, customer service) and external partners (e.g., carriers, suppliers).
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Assist in training junior staff members on logistics procedures and best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Logistics Technician, Warehouse Specialist, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift license preferred).
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (German and English required).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Federal VET Diploma (EFZ) in Logistics or equivalent vocational training.
- Experience with SAP or other major ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Swiss customs regulations and international trade compliance.
- Additional language skills (e.g., French, Italian).
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
