Key Responsibilities
- Execute inbound and outbound logistics operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Operate various material handling equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Perform accurate inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Maintain detailed records of all logistics activities using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other software.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and quality standards.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to optimize workflow and resolve operational issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Prepare shipping documentation and labels accurately for domestic and international shipments.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Logistics Technician, Warehouse Specialist, or similar role.
- Valid forklift operator license (Staplerschein) and experience with various MHE.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic computer skills (MS Office).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects when required.
- Fluent in German (written and spoken) due to local operational requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed vocational training in logistics (e.g., Fachkraft für Lagerlogistik or equivalent).
- Experience with SAP or other advanced ERP systems.
- Basic knowledge of customs procedures and international shipping regulations.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
