Key Responsibilities
- Accurately tally, count, and record incoming and outgoing goods and materials.
- Verify quantities, item codes, and specifications against delivery notes, invoices, and waybills.
- Assist with periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile stock discrepancies promptly.
- Identify and report any damaged, missing, or incorrect items to the supervisor immediately.
- Organize and maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation for all warehouse transactions.
- Support warehouse staff in picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch.
- Ensure proper labeling, shelving, and storage of products within designated warehouse locations.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment safely, such as hand trucks and pallet jacks, if trained.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional accuracy in counting and recording.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting, addition, and subtraction.
- Ability to read and comprehend shipping documents, invoices, and inventory lists.
- Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with MS Office Suite and data entry systems.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift moderately heavy items (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic with a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (even entry-level or internship) in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory control role.
- Familiarity with inventory management software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- SSCE, OND, HND qualification or an equivalent educational background.
