Job Description
Bralirwa Plc is searching for a highly skilled and strategic Logistics & Supply Chain Manager to spearhead our comprehensive end-to-end supply chain operations across Rwanda. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of our diverse product portfolio, from the timely and efficient sourcing of raw materials and packaging, through optimized manufacturing support and inventory management, to the final distribution and delivery of our wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to consumers nationwide. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing, implementing, and continuously refining our logistics and supply chain strategies to achieve optimal efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and responsiveness in a dynamic market environment. This includes expert management of complex inventory systems, optimizing warehousing operations for both raw materials and finished goods, streamlining transportation networks, and ensuring strict compliance with all local and international regulatory requirements, as well as internal company standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive logistics and supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Oversee all aspects of inventory management, including forecasting, stock control, and warehouse operations for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Manage and optimize transportation networks, including fleet management, route planning, and third-party logistics (3PL) provider relationships.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and high performance.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international trade regulations, customs procedures, and internal company policies.
- Drive the adoption of supply chain technology and digital solutions to enhance visibility, automation, and decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, production, sales, and marketing teams to ensure seamless supply chain integration and responsiveness to market demands.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and logistics partners to secure favorable terms and service levels.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to achieve targets in areas such as delivery, cost, and inventory turns.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, quality issues, and regulatory changes.
- Champion sustainable logistics practices, exploring environmentally friendly solutions and contributing to Bralirwa's sustainability goals.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Proven experience in inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing talent.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and supply chain planning software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex, and multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or an MBA.
- Professional certification in Supply Chain (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CILT).
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies in a supply chain context.
- Knowledge of French or Kinyarwanda is an added advantage.
- Experience with sustainable logistics practices and green supply chain initiatives.
