Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily logistics activities, including scheduling deliveries, managing shipments, and optimising routes for efficiency.
- Process incoming and outgoing orders, ensuring accuracy of documentation and timely dispatch of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and report discrepancies to maintain precise stock records.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, including forklifts (if certified), for loading, unloading, and moving goods within the facility.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment, adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Liaise effectively with suppliers, carriers, and customers to resolve any logistical issues or delays, ensuring smooth communication.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to inventory, shipments, and logistics operations for auditing purposes.
- Assist in the picking, packing, and labelling of goods for dispatch, ensuring products are prepared correctly according to order specifications.
- Implement and improve operational procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimise workflow within the warehouse.
- Support the wider team with general administrative tasks as required, contributing to overall departmental effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in a logistics, warehouse, or supply chain coordination role.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with inventory management systems.
