Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
- Coordinate and schedule all delivery activities, ensuring timely and efficient distribution of products to designated locations.
- Optimize delivery routes and methods to minimize costs and maximize efficiency, utilizing logistics software and mapping tools.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and stock reconciliation, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Liaise with internal departments (e.g., sales, customer service) and external stakeholders (e.g., transporters, suppliers) to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing updates on delivery status and resolving any transit-related issues or delays.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental regulations within the warehouse and during delivery operations.
- Prepare and analyze logistics reports, identifying trends, performance metrics, and areas for operational improvement.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Supervise and mentor junior logistics staff or warehouse personnel, fostering a productive and safe working environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or warehouse operations.
- Strong understanding of inventory management techniques and best practices.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and logistics software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
