Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Kubwa, Abuja. This professional role is pivotal in managing and optimizing our warehouse operations and ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of goods. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our supply chain, responsible for overseeing all aspects from inventory receipt and storage to order fulfillment and dispatch. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Your day-to-day will involve meticulously tracking inventory, coordinating with suppliers and transporters, scheduling deliveries, and managing a team of warehouse staff and delivery drivers. You will be instrumental in implementing and refining logistics strategies, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
- Coordinate and schedule all inbound and outbound deliveries, optimizing routes and transport modes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage inventory control, conduct regular stock counts, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff and delivery personnel, ensuring adherence to operational procedures and safety guidelines.
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and transporters to ensure smooth flow of goods and resolve any logistical issues.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations, preparing regular reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with all local and national transportation, warehousing, and safety regulations.
- Utilize logistics software to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate necessary documentation.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain roles.
- Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems, WMS).
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and warehouse best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
