Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the end-to-end logistics process, from inbound shipments to warehouse storage and outbound deliveries.
- Manage inventory control, ensuring accuracy, minimizing discrepancies, and optimizing warehouse space utilization.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency, considering factors such as cost, time, and service level agreements.
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatch of vehicles and drivers, ensuring adherence to delivery timelines and customer expectations.
- Liaise effectively with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments to resolve any logistical issues or delays.
- Prepare and maintain accurate logistics documentation, including waybills, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations within the warehouse and during transport operations.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all logistics and warehouse activities.
- Utilize logistics software and systems for tracking, reporting, and data analysis.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of proven experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in logistics software, inventory management systems (IMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- In-depth knowledge of local transportation regulations and geographical knowledge of Abuja.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CILT, CSCP, CPIM).
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
