Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and meticulous inventory control.
- Coordinate and monitor all supply chain operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements and logistical best practices.
- Prepare accurate shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, waybills, and other necessary paperwork for both local and potential inter-state deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, transporters, and customers to proactively resolve any logistics-related issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory and logistics activities using designated management software.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics efficiency and regularly report on performance to management.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant safety regulations, company policies, and transportation laws.
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams (e.g., sales, customer service, procurement) to optimize order fulfillment processes and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
- Identify and actively implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar supply chain management role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, robust inventory management techniques, and end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems – WMS).
- Strong organizational and exceptional time management skills with the ability to effectively multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities to liaise with various stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CILT, CSCP) is a significant advantage.
- Experience with local transportation networks, routes, and regulations within Abuja and surrounding regions.
- Familiarity with import/export procedures and customs documentation (if applicable to client's operations).
- Forklift operation certification or willingness to obtain one.
