Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator with a strong focus on warehouse operations and delivery management to join one of our esteemed clients in Guarimpa Estate, Abuja. This professional role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods from warehouse receipt to final delivery, maintaining high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a robust understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and transportation logistics. You will be instrumental in coordinating daily activities, optimizing processes, and collaborating with various stakeholders to meet operational targets. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor logistics operations, including warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and delivery schedules.
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods.
- Oversee inventory control procedures, conduct regular stock checks, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, transporters, and internal departments to ensure seamless operational flow.
- Prepare and process all necessary logistics documentation, including waybills, invoices, manifests, and customs declarations (where applicable).
- Track and trace shipments, providing updates to relevant stakeholders on status and potential delays.
- Identify and resolve logistics-related issues and discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Supervise and provide guidance to warehouse and delivery staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in logistics coordination, warehouse management, or supply chain operations.
- Strong understanding of inventory management techniques and warehouse best practices.
- Proficiency in logistics software, inventory management systems (IMS), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of local and international shipping regulations and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CILT, APICS) is a plus.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Familiarity with the geographical layout and transportation networks within Abuja and surrounding regions.
