Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and returns.
- Coordinate and optimize delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution of goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and system updates (e.g., WMS, ERP).
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to prevent shortages or excesses.
- Liaise effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, suppliers, and customers to resolve operational issues and improve service delivery.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and security standards within the warehouse and during transit.
- Prepare and analyze logistics reports, identifying areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Negotiate with transport providers and third-party logistics (3PL) partners to secure favorable terms and services.
- Ensure compliance with all local and national transportation regulations and company policies.
- Train and mentor junior staff members on best practices in warehousing and logistics.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role within a warehouse and delivery environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in logistics software, inventory management systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
