Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and inventory control.
- Coordinate and schedule all inbound and outbound deliveries, optimizing routes and maximizing vehicle utilization.
- Implement and maintain robust inventory management systems to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods.
- Monitor logistics performance, analyze data, and generate reports on key metrics such as delivery times, costs, and service levels.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Manage and resolve logistical issues, delays, and emergencies swiftly and effectively.
- Train and supervise junior logistics staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.
- Prepare and process necessary documentation, including shipping manifests, invoices, and customs forms.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management.
- Proven experience with inventory management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and customs procedures (Nigerian context preferred).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
