Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new clients within the designated operational area.
  • Conduct thorough credit assessments, including business evaluations, to determine loan eligibility and capacity.
  • Prepare and present loan proposals to management for approval.
  • Disburse approved loans to clients and ensure proper documentation is completed.
  • Monitor loan utilization, track repayment schedules, and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Provide financial advisory services and support to clients, ensuring their business success.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and loan portfolio information.
  • Generate regular reports on loan performance, client outreach, and portfolio quality.
  • Participate in community engagement activities to promote Lapo's products and services.
  • Adhere strictly to Lapo Microfinance Bank's policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Basic financial literacy and understanding of business principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and basic computer usage

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or HND in Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience (1-2 years) in microfinance, banking, or a related lending role.
  • Proficiency in local languages spoken in Birnin Kebbi (e.g., Hausa, Fulfulde).
  • Knowledge of the Birnin Kebbi local market and socio-economic landscape.
