Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload goods from delivery vehicles, containers, and trucks using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.).
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests or invoices to ensure accuracy and report discrepancies immediately.
- Sort and stack merchandise neatly and according to established procedures within the warehouse or storage areas.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment on the loading dock and surrounding areas.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and drivers to ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Prepare items for shipment, including packing, labeling, and securing loads.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 kg regularly and standing for extended periods.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading labels, manifests, and performing simple counts.
